The Donggang District Sports Center, with an investment of approximately 300 million yuan, spans an area of 61.39 acres. The facility encompasses a total floor area of 35,806 square meters, with 24,916 square meters above ground and 10,890 square meters below. Located in the jurisdiction of Rizhao Street, the center is bordered by Danyang Road to the west, Shandong Road to the south, and Xihai Road to the north. In 2022, the Donggang Sports Center was the proud host of the 25th Shandong Provincial Games, featuring competitions in basketball, gymnastics, trampolining, and handball.
The project was officially initiated on August 29, 2019, guided by the principles of international standards, multifunctionality, architectural distinction, and modern equipment. The property rights of the Donggang Sports Center are held by Rizhao Xindonggang Asset Operation Co., Ltd., with Shandong Antai Sports Industry Development Company managing operations. Positioned primarily as a community fitness and leisure complex, it has successfully fulfilled its role in the provincial games, ensuring ample facilities for public recreation and sports education. The center continuously enriches the sports industry, offering varied activities including sports training, commercial expositions, wellness retreats, and cultural performances.
